I was exploringBoing-Boing from Bloglines and found this story from a BBC newsreporter.This "Bibliomula" travels the the foothills of the Andes in Venezuela to encourage reading among the children. This day, posted August 4, 2007, the bibliomula made a stop for 23 children. The children checkbooks and "librarians" read to the children. They also bring along laptops. With the gas situation so bad, maybe FCPL could try this method instead of the bookmobile!
